The festival of great examples.
4 May 2026. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Bucerius Law School, Hamburg.
2MR is a festival that focuses on democracy-strengthening social media. Communication professionals from business, culture, media, municipalities, and public administration demonstrate how they successfully use open networks without relying on big tech.
“2MR” is pronounced “zwoMR” and can be read as “tomorrow” – the social media of tomorrow is being shaped today!

The exact programme schedule will follow.
The free internet has been abolished: the growing dominance of big tech monopolies has led to a concentration of opinion-forming power that threatens our democracy. But the internet belongs to all of us! Our society needs better platforms for social networking, exchange and debate. And there are many good examples of this.
2MR shows you these projects, the role models, the beacons for how we can reclaim the social web. And we engage in dialogue with politicians, businesses, associations and organisations about how we can strengthen new networks.
Unfortunately, the number of visitors is limited:
therefore, your participation is only possible after our confirmation.
A perfect location for great ideas.

The Moot Court is located on the first floor of the historic main building of Bucerius Law School close to Hamburg´s Dammtor train station.
The stylish, circular room under the illuminated glass dome creates the perfect atmosphere for our festival. The university uses the room primarily for moot courts, i.e. simulated court hearings.
A good example yourself?
Tell us about it: We welcome anyone who would like to contribute to our festival: Are you making the social web a little bit better? Are you building networks or parts of them, or does your community use the open social web?
Get in touch with us and enrich our programme with your ideas!
Support 2MR? Gladly!
Our festival showcases good examples without charging an admission fee. We are grateful to all our current sponsors and supporters, but are always looking for more.
Companies and organisations that want to show their support for better social networks in Hamburg are very welcome. Write to us!
